I have not been able to test it hunting yet, but as a bowhunter I don't like heavy gloves. I hunt a lot in December when it can get really cold and a handwarmer **** is the best solution I've found for keeping my hands warm. I've used other brands that worked, but didn't hold up. Seeing how my Marsupial bino harness is put together and made in the USA I knew I had to have this one. Quality is top notch. Outer material is a little noisy, but should hold up to abuse. Internal material is soft and quiet. It's thick and should insulate well. If it's made by Marsupial you know it's going to be a quality product!
Great addition to my bino pack! Not a fan of gloves while bow hunting. My fingers will be toasty in the handwarmer.
I use this under my fishing chest rig when the temps get below freezing. I've used it down to 10 degrees and with just fingerless gloves on I can keep my hands comfortable. Toss a couple hot hands in there and you can reheat your breakfast burrito.
I bought the hand warmer to go with my enclosed bins case before a deer hunt last week. I expected it to be warm (it was), but I was more impressed with the convenient attachment. The warmer's position allowed me to keep my hands warm while sitting in ladder/climbing stands, when I'd typically be digging my hands into pants/jacket pockets (not much room). As others have stated, a couple hot hands in the warmer allow you to use light or no gloves at all. Great products!
I’ve always eye balled the hand warmers at Cabelas that look like this but I didn’t want a ***** pack type connection/another waist belt to deal with. Saw this and had to have it immediately. Works amazing on its own, toss in an electric hand warmer, keep your release and phone and whatever else from freezing as well as the hands, it actually gets pretty darn warm In there with one of those. I highly recommend if you do any winter shooting(archery, rifle, etc) or if your out hiking around. Also be great in a tree stand/blind to keep those hands toasty warm! My only gripe about this is the closure/toggles the cord goes thru on each end to adjust the hole size should be attached to the hand warmer itself. Then you can adjust each side with one hand very easily.
