Works good. Only thing I wish was different is the lanyard set up I wish you didn't have to unhook them everytime to get the pack off. Other then that the pack holds the weight good and feels comfortable
I paired this with the modular belt with yoke and it works great. Nice to have one less thing on your shoulders. Realistically I’ll only use this on things like scouting trips or potentially a day hunt. Like most, I am constantly wearing my bino harness when I’m on a hunting trip. You never know when you will need them so it’s best to always have them easily accessible. With this system you can’t drop your pack without also dropping your bino harness. That becomes an issue especially if your road hunting and constantly jumping in and out of a rig. But if your hiking all day and don’t want your pack and bino harness digging into your shoulders then this is the ticket.
This strap system would be better suited for a full sized back pack but for the record it will work very well on a smaller one. I’m running it on an Osprey Tallon 22 day pack. Once it’s adjusted correctly (which took some time) it stays put and feels great. Not as good as running the standard bino pack harness system but definitely a close runner up. Getting the pack on/off is not hard if you only unclip one side. The nice part is if layering you can adjust your backpack straps a bit to let out or take up slack.
