I’ve been using it for shed hunting because upland season is closed and can’t believe how comfortable and how much weight I can put on it the belt and yoke on this system are drastically underrated I highly recommend this vest system I own 3 other high-end upland vest and this blows them out of the water
This vest system is awesome, very lightweight and well balanced. I love how modular it is and have some of their other products for different seasons/uses. I wasn't sure if the small bird bag would be big enough but it will fit a full limit of Chukars easy. Love the quality of material and colors (hungry orange/brown) I wish the company would provide discount codes or times of sales but shipping was very fast.
This system is very lightweight and well balanced on the hips and shoulders. I'm not a fan of having things on my back and this rig is perfect, hardly notice it on my back even with weight. The small bird bag is perfect and bigger than expected and will carry a limit of chukar easy. Love how modular this platform is and already ordered the hydration pack for warmer days. Highly recommend paying the extra $10 for the larger shotgun pouches. People complain about the zipper but have no problems and leave it open for easy access to shells without anything falling out (maybe the problem is with the smaller pouch?).
This system kicks ***. I wanted something for both dove and quail/chukar and this fits the bill for both. The lack of material at the back is great for ventilation especially if you live in warmer areas. I opted for the large shell pouches and as you can see in my photo they easily fit 2 boxes of 12ga. 2-3/4" shells with a little room to spare. The spare room lets me keep the pouch open when walking without worrying about shells falling out which helps with quick and easy reloading. The zippered interior part of the shell pouch helps keep valuables secure and I keep some 00 buck shot shells in there in case I run into something bigger than a bird. I was worried the yoke would mess with shouldering my shotgun but it doesn't at all, the padding is thinner than I thought. I haven't had the chance to load up the bird bag to capacity, but it looks like it could just barely hold a limit of dove, quail or chukar. The belt portion is very comfortable and the yoke and belt combo is great at distributing weight evenly. Overall 5 stars, I know this will be my go to system for a lot of years to come. Also, it's made in the USA which is the best part
I wanted a system that I can use quail and dove hunting and because this thing is so modular, it's easy to convert and fits the bill almost perfectly for both. The open back is great for air flow and keeps my back from sweating here in Southern Nevada. I opted for the large shell bags which can easily hold 2 boxes of 12ga. 2-3/4" shells, great for dove hunting. With up to 2 boxes in the pouch you can leave the top open without any worry that shells will fall out. Keeping the top open helps with quick and easy reloading. The zippered pocket inside the shell pouch is great for holding valuables or a few 00 buck shells in case I run into something bigger than a bird. I was worried the yoke would interfere with shouldering my shotgun but it doesn't at all and the padding is actually thinner than I thought. It's very comfortable walking around in the desert and it does a great job distributing weight between the belt and yoke. The water bottle holder fits a 1 liter Nalgene snugly without a need for the bungee, thinner bottles would probably need the bungee cord to secure it. I opted to trade a water bottle holder for the universal shoulder strap pocket and Marsupial Gear was nice enough to just sub it out, thanks again! I wish I would've asked for the zippered pouch though, it looks more functional. The bird bag is on the small side. I haven't been able to fill it up to capacity just yet but it looks like it could hold a limit of dove or quail. Overall 5 stars, I think this will be my bird system for a lot of years to come.
