Built for cold mornings, active days, and changing conditions, the Insulated Soft Shell combines active warmth with the durability of a true outer layer. The 70D double-weave nylon stretch shell moves comfortably in the field, while 118g brushed insulation traps warmth close to the body without the bulk of a traditional puffy.

This isn’t a lightweight midlayer meant to stay protected under a shell. The heavier double-weave face is built to take brush, branches, pack straps, and hard days in the field head-on. Tested to the highest possible snag-resistance rating and more than 20,000 abrasion cycles without failure, it delivers the toughness needed to wear it as a standalone outer layer.

A PFC-free DWR finish helps shed light rain and snow, while the stretch-woven face maintains the mobility needed for climbing, hiking, and covering ground. Stretch elastic cuffs and hood binding create a secure fit, and zippered hand and chest pockets keep essentials close. Water-repellent, not waterproof.
