I was born and raised in Colorado Springs, CO, and lived there until April of this year.
My job is to make cool videos haha! Back in July of 2024, I reached out to Marsupial Gear on Instagram with a pitch to make video content on some upcoming trips.
After talking to Jared Kaiser over the phone, we agreed on a test run for my first trip, Montana fly fishing. He sent me and my friends over some gear, and a couple weeks later I sent them back a recap video. They loved it and decided to invite me out to film their New Mexico antelope hunt a couple months later.
From that hunt I created both my and Marsupial's first hunting film. For the next year, I worked remotely from Colorado and traveled to film 5 different Marsupial hunts before finally making the decision to move out to Phoenix and work full time.
I was introduced to hunting in 2023. At the time I worked at Scheels in the fishing and camping section, but was also doing contract video work for the marketing department. A few of the guys I worked with had told me about an archery elk hunt they had coming up, and invited me to tag along and film. With the invite extended, I talked to the marketing team and was able to work out a way to go shoot video content on their hunt and use some of it for Scheels.
Little did I know that it would spark such a passion in me for capturing hunting, and eventually go on to become my career.
Since then, I’ve been blessed to be part of some incredible adventures, and met many amazing people. To me, the best part of hunting is simple: epic places and good people.
For now, capturing it is enough for me, but I would eventually love to pick up a bow for myself.
In October of 2025, I joined the Neville brothers for a first rifle elk hunt in Colorado. We spent 6 days chasing elk in the high country, covered many miles, and spent the night in 4 different spots.
After several days of 50+ mph winds and excessive hunters, we decided to get away from crowds and hike into what some would call a hell hole haha. Definitely some of the steepest terrain I’ve ever climbed, but the hard work paid off, and Josh shot a stud of a bull.
It’s always such a cool feeling when you work so hard for something and it finally pays off. Chris and Josh really showed me that in hunting, things usually don’t go your way, but if you stay the course, eventually it will pay off.
I would love to film a backcountry hunt in New Zealand. For myself, I’d love to accomplish a high-country Colorado archery mule deer hunt.
I use the Multi Pack with a small Zippered Pouch on the right, and a Bottom Mount Holster when in bear-country. I use this setup for both filming and fly fishing. I like to utilize the velcro in the front compartment to attach my magnetic ND filters for quick access, or other small accessories like a fly puck.
Top two are definitely the Multi Pack and the Sun Tech Hoodie
We designed it for fishing—but the Multi Pack is well suited for many activities. Use it to hunt turkeys, find sheds, ride single track, or as a camera bag to capture the perfect image. Like all our chest packs, it keeps your essentials secure and within easy reach, yet perfectly out of the way.
Check out Christian’s work on our YouTube. He’s the talent behind our “4 for 4” antelope film and our latest turkey story, “Part of Us.” His eye for storytelling and detail brings these hunts to life in a way that’s worth watching.
